Bombay High Court dismisses PIL seeking information on black money from Ramdev

Bombay High Court dismissed a PIL seeking a direction to Ramdev to divulge information regarding black money-holders.

MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed a public interest litigation seeking a direction to yoga guru Baba Ramdev to divulge information regarding black money-holders in the country.

Manoranjan Roy, `a social activist', had approached the High Court claiming that Ramdev, during his anti-corruption agitation, had said he had a list of people who had black money.

Ramdev should divulge the names of these persons, so that action could be taken, the PIL contended.

The division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice Roshan Dalvi however dismissed the petition stating that it had been filed only for publicity, and was frivolous.
