Bombay HC now slams ATS and CBI for revealing details in the Dabholkar, pansare cases

A divison bench today pulled up the ATS and the CBI saying that it was not happy that the details of the case was being revealed before the media.

After slamming the Pune police for revealing details of the ‘evidence’ in the case involving the arrests of several activits through a press conference, the Bombay HC has on Thursday slammed the CBI and the ATS for revealing details of the case of the Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare murder case.

A divison bench today pulled up the ATS and the CBI saying that it was not happy that the details of the case was being revealed before the media. The High Court also pulled up the families of both Dabholkar and Pansare for their statements asking them not to take undue advantage of the freedom of speech.

The Bombay HC had on Monday slammed a press conference addressed by the Pune police where in State Additional Director General (Law and order) Parambir Singh had addressed a press conference giving details of the evidence involving the ‘urban maoists’.


The court questioned the Pune Police as to how the evidence was revealed when the case was ‘subjudice’.
