A bomb threat call on a Jet Airways flight between Delhi and Kathmandu turned out to be hoax after authorities in Kathmandu cleared the aircraft.

NEW DELHI: A bomb threat call on a Jet Airways flight (9W 260) between Delhi and Kathmandu turned out to be hoax after the local authorities in Kathmandu cleared the aircraft.

"The flight with 161 guests and 7 crew onboard landed safely at 16.35 (local time) in Kathmandu. We regret the inconvenience caused to our guests. The safety and security of our guests and crew is always our main priority," the airline said in a statement.

Such threat calls on flights have increased causing great inconvenience to the flying public.
