Bomb threat at NDMC building

Police received call at 10.30 AM that bomb has been placed at NDMC.

NEW DELHI: An anonymous call claiming a bomb has been placed at the NDMC building in the heart of the national capital sent the policemen in a tizzy with security personnel immediately evacuating the high-rise building.

The police received the call at around 10:30 am that a bomb has been placed at the building housing the headquarters of New Delhi Municipal Council. Police personnel were immediately rushed to the spot.

Sniffer dog squads and bomb disposal teams were also rushed to the spot.

Stating that the call was made by some unidentified man to create panic, ACP (New Delhi) Shankar Dass told PTI, "Only yesterday the office of Commonwealth Games adjacent to the NDMC building was inaugurated. We think it is a mischievous call to create panic".
