Bomb hoax in Surat for second consecutive day

SURAT: An anonymous call today saying that a bomb had been planted in a bank here proved to be a hoax, police said.
The manager of the Salabatpura branch of National Bank, J B Modi, received a call after 1100 hours that said bomb had been planted in the premises. He informed police about the call.
Police reached the bank with a bomb disposal squad and a dog squad. After a thorough search lasting two hours, they declared the call a hoax, officials said.
The Adajan Road branch of the Bank of Baroda had recieved a similar call yesterday that proved to be a hoax.
