A bomb blast ripped through a university building in Pakistan's capital Islamabad on Tuesday, police said.

ISLAMABAD: A bomb blast ripped through a university building in Pakistan's capital Islamabad on Tuesday, police said.

"It was a bomb blast. It was inside the Islamic university building," said police official Mohammad Afzal from the emergency response department.

He was referring the Islamic International University, on Islamabad's eastern flank.
