Bodoland: Militant outfit threatens to pull out of peace process if its leaders not released
Militant outfit Ranjan Daimary faction of NDFB has threatened to pull out of peace process if its leaders are not released by November 30.

President of pro talk faction Ranjan Daimary alias DR Nabla prime accused in the 2008 serial blasts which killed 100 civilians was arrested in Bangladesh in 2010 was later handed over to the Indian authorities the same year. He was later granted bail to provide impetus to the peace process.
Daimary was rearrested on September 29 this year while he went to TADA court for hearing.
A statement issued by the NDFB faction which is in peace negotiation with government stated” Despite all odds, the NDFB has been working hard for peace and resolution of the conflict since its declaration of unilateral ceasefire on the 1st August, 2011. As a result of prolonged negotiation between the government of India and the outfit, Daimary was released on bail. “
The statement added after several rounds of discussions, the NDFB has entered into formal ceasefire with the government of India on November 29 last year. Although, the general election and the formation of a new government at Delhi slowed down the pace of peace process, NDFB has submitted its memorandum to the Prime Minister and Home Minister of India on September 27, this year and the through PC Haldar, the government appointed interlocutor.
The outfit termed the recent arrest of Daimary is not only surprising but also unprecedented, discriminatory and insulting.
The state stated NDFB has decided to pull out of the peace process unless the government proves its seriousness to expedite the peace process by releasing Daimary, other leaders and cadres of the outfit November 30 this year.
