“Stamps will be put on back of the hands of the patients staying in home quarantine. 300 marshals will be hired to keep an eye on people traveling in local trains without face mask. Besides, additional marshals will be hired to keep an eye on violators in Mumbai,” the BMC said.
Other notable rules state that travelers from Brazil to Mumbai will now be put in a compulsory seven-day quarantine, while more emphasis will be given to regular inspections to catch violations.
Earlier today, a lockdown was imposed in Maharashtra’s Amravati district from Saturday 8 pm to Monday 7 am amid fear of rising coronavirus cases.
