1. Akshay KumarBollywood star Akshay Kumar was one of the earliest celebrities to visit a polling booth on Thursday morning to cast his vote in the ongoing Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. He reached the Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan polling station in Mumbai early to exercise his franchise.

2. Twinkle Khanna
Following actor Akshay Kumar’s early visit to the polling booth, his wife, author Twinkle Khanna, also arrived on Thursday morning to cast her vote. She was seen at the Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan polling station in Mumbai during the ongoing Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. After voting, Twinkle spoke to reporters, stressing the importance of taking part in elections. She noted that voting empowers citizens, gives them a voice, and makes them feel connected to the democratic system.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal cast his vote on Thursday along with his wife at a polling station in Mumbai’s Malabar Hills during the Maharashtra Local Body 2026 elections. Addressing reporters afterward, Goyal termed voting a “festival of democracy” and said taking part in the electoral process was a privilege. Referring to Mumbai as India’s financial and commercial capital, he added that residents take immense pride in the city and see the country’s path to development and prosperity reflected in Mumbai’s progress and growth.

After casting her vote in the BMC elections, veteran actor and BJP MP Hema Malini said, "I urge everyone to come out and vote. Just like I came this morning to vote. If you want security, progress, clean air, and pothole-free roads in Mumbai, then we all have to take responsibility and vote."

After casting her vote in the BMC elections, actor Divya Dutta said, "It is our right to vote, and we should come out of our houses and cast our votes."
