Blasts rock Kandahar police headquarters

KANDAHAR: Two explosions rocked the police headquarters in Afghanistan's insurgency-hit southern province of Kandahar on Sunday, apparently causing casualties, an AFP reporter said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the blasts but police had sealed off the area and several ambulances were seen leaving the compound in the city centre, he said.

Officials were not immediately available to comment, the reporter said.
