NEW DELHI: BJP chief Amit Shah today said that blaming Electronic Voting Machines ( EVMs) for poll defeat is like disrespecting the Election Commission.

Briefing reporters, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said during the party's national executive in Bhubaneshwar, Shah said that due to his extraordinary connect with the people, Narendra Modi is the most popular leader today.

"To blame the electronic voting machines for defeat during the elections is like disrespecting the Election Commission," Shah said.

Earlier Prime Minister Modi led a roadshow and mingled with crowds at several places breaking security protocol as he arrived here to attend the two-day BJP national executive meeting with saffron expansion in Odisha being its key agenda.
