BJYM, JKNPP support Ramdev's agitation
The state unit of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha took out a procession in support of the bandh called by yoga guru Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Yog Samiti in protest.
BJYM activists led by its state president Munish Sharma raised slogans against the Union Government and extended its support to Ramdev's campaign against corruption while demanding the repatriation of black money.
"We extend our support to Ramdev's campaign against corruption. We appeal to the people of Jammu to come out in support of the bandh and show their solidarity towards the cause," Sharma said.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party (JKNPP) headed by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia burned the effigy of several ministers including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the city's Purani Mandi area in protest against the Delhi police action at Ramlila Maidan on June 5.
The activists of Patanjali Yog Samiti also took out a protest march raising slogans against the police atrocities against yoga guru Ramdev and his followers.
