NEW DELHI: BJP leader Sudhanshu Mittal has said that he was a victim of a plot to illegally obtain call records of senior politicians belonging to his party, as he urged action to unearth the truth behind the conspiracy. Mittal said his call detail records (CDRs) too were sought by the people who obtained the call details of BJP’s Rajya Sabha leader Arun Jaitley, former party president Nitin Gadkari and Delhi leader Vijay Goel.

“That the leaders of BJP have been targeted is a very serious matter and the truth should be unearthed and mastermind behind the conspiracy to target BJP leaders brought to book,” he said in a statement. Mittal added the accused in the case, Anurag Singh, who is behind bars now, had visited him a couple of times, but noted that he too was a victim of Singh’s “diabolic act”.
