BJP's Puducherry unit irked over modification in CENTAC guidelines
PUDUCHERRY: BJP's Puducherry unit today took exception to modification in Centralised Admission Committee guidelines for selection of students under government quota for admission to various professional colleges.

Unit General Secretary R V Swaminathan alleged in a release here that officials attached to CENTAC were fomenting confusion by effecting modification in guidelines and government should ensure that there was no chaotic adoption of guidelines.

He said recent provision in guidelines that children of Central government employees who had put in a minimum of one year of service in the Union Territory, could also be treated on par with students of Puducherry nativity, "is most injurious and detrimental to the students of Puducherry with several years of residence here."
