BJP's brief to its cadre: Intensify drive in slums
Party workers have been asked to intensify the drive and ensure maximum memberships from these areas.

Sources say there is an incentive scheme to encourage party workers to increase members. “Whoever makes 100 or more members will be made an active member of the party. This will motivate our workers to go all out and participate in the member ship drive,'' said a senior BJP functionary.
A majority of people living in slums and JJ clusters are migrant labourers and from low-income groups.“The migrant population has benefited immensely from PM's Jan Dhan Yojna as they were able to get their bank accounts open and avail insurance benefits. This is a huge step towards their welfare. We are telling people living in these areas about what the BJP government has done ever since it came to power,'' said a BJP worker. The BJP also plans to come up with a scheme for regularization of unauthorized colonies before the elections. This will help the party make a dent in AAP's votebank. In Lok Sabha elections, the Muslim votes had got divided between AAP and Congress.
BJP workers say it is important for the party to win trust of people living in slums and unauthorized colonies. And the membership drive has given them an opportunity to reach out to people living in these areas.
