BJP youth wing members arrested for trying to enter Bangladesh visa office

AGARTALA: 26 members of Juba Janamorcha, the youth wing of BJP were arrested today while demonstrating before the Bangladesh Visa office here protesting persecution of Hindu minorities in the neighbouring country recently, police said.

Police said the protesters demonstrated with placards and raised slogans against religious fundamentalists in Bangladesh who had persecuted the religious minorities and also blamed the government for failing to provide safety and security to the life and property of minority people there.

Police said they arrested 26 of them when they tried to forcibly enter into the visa office. However, the arrested were released later.
