BJP writes to UP Governor BL Joshi, says SP has no right to be in power
LUCKNOW: Acussing the SP regime of failing to contain law and order in Uttar Pradesh, BJP today wrote to Governor B L Joshi saying the government which can not protect its people has no right to remain in power.

"Law and order has hit the rock bottom in the state and not a single district was left where women were safe. The government which can not provide good governance and security to the people has no right to remain in the power," BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai said in a letter written to the Governor.

"Crimes do happen, but to control them and get criminals punished is the duty of police and the government," he said, adding that the opposite of it was happening in the Akhilesh government.

He alleged that "UP police were forcibly suppressing the victims' voice and giving shelter to the criminals."
