BJP workers continue to court arrest over Amarnath issue

BJP workers held a protest rally, defying prohibitory orders in the civil lines area here and courted arrest for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, demanding restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

JAIPUR: BJP workers held a protest rally, defying prohibitory orders in the civil lines area here and courted arrest for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, demanding restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

The protest rally, taken out by the BJP's Jodhpur, Bikaner and Jaipur rural units from the party office here culminated at the civil lines railway crossing where prohibitory orders were in force.

Five roadways buses, loaded with 1500 arrested BJP activists, were taken to the Mansarovar and Shiprapath police stations where they were later released, they said.
