BJP will probe Vadra deals if voted to power, says Ravi Shankar Prasad
Prasad was in Rohtak to address poll meetings when he asked how the price of a piece of land can soar to Rs 58 crore from Rs 7 crore in 3 months.

Prasad was in Rohtak to address poll meetings in support of BJP candidates. Prasad asked how the price of a piece of land can soar to Rs 58 crore from Rs 7 crore in just three months. "Does anywhere in the world the land prices jump this way," he asked.
Vadra's company Sky Light Hospitality had purchased around three acres of land in Shikohpur village of Gurgaon district for Rs 7.5 crore in 2008. Later, Vadra's company and DLF had entered into a sale agreement to sell the land to DLF for Rs 58 crore after the state government had issued a change of land use certificate for Vadra's land.
The Union law minister alleged that various land scams took place in the state apart from Vadra land deal. "Corruption has taken place in the disguise of land acquisition. It appears that Haryana is number-1 in land scams in the country," he said.
The Union law minister also dismissed allegations of former chief minister Om Prakash Chautala that the BJP government at the Centre was misusing the CBI against him.
"The government has no role in it (in sending Chautala to jail). The allegation leveled by INLD is totally wrong. He (Chautala) has been arrested on the orders of high court. The HC had granted bail to him on medical grounds. BJP government allows the CBI to function honestly," he said
