Nationalist Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party would not be able to come to power in the country.

Pawar claimed that the BJP was so worried about the 2024 parliamentary polls that it was not holding the local body polls (municipal council, Municipal Corporation) elections in the state as they were afraid that its results may impact the 2024 polls.

"The youth are upset and are so are senior citizens. The people want a change, the mood is against giving power to BJP," said Pawar while speaking to reporters in Kolhapur.

According to Pawar, the anger against BJP would also hurt those who have joined hands with the party. According to Pawar, the fate of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his nephew Ajit Pawar would be the same as the BJP during the polls.
