“In Assam, the state government gives Rs 1350 to women. Recently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswasarma was in town and we were discussing and he informed me about the scheme.

“The people of the villages are affected by poverty. People do not have money to buy woollen clothes. The whole state is raising questions about corruption,” Majumdar said in Murshidabad.
