BJP will form majority govt in Delhi: Nitin Gadkari
NEW DELHI: Slamming Congress for adopting "anti-people" policies, BJP today expressed confidence of winning the December 4 Delhi polls and said it would form the government with a two-thirds majority in the assembly.

"I am confident that we will not only win the election, but also get two-thirds majority and form the government. People are fed up of Congress' anti-people policies and want a change. We will bring transparency," former BJP president and Delhi in-charge Nitin Gadkari said today.

Addressing a meeting of Delhi transporters at his residence here, Gadkari sought their support and said BJP has promised many reforms for them in its manifesto.

"We are not saying that we will address all the issues at once, but promise that we will give four times better government in Delhi," Gadkari said, adding that BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan has a clean image and works with the intention of solving people's problems.

Attacking Congress on the economic front, the BJP leader said, "Congress has no intention of making the country self-reliant and because of that, Rs six lakh crore worth gas, petrol and crude oil is being imported every year.

"The government has made a crude joke on poor people of India by saying that those who earn Rs 32 per day are not poor or people in village with Rs 28 per day earning can lead a normal life," Gadkari said.

Taking at dig at Aam Aadmi Party, Gadkari said it was a "vote-cutter" party.

"They (AAP) are saying that sting operation is forged, tampered. They say Congress and BJP are corrupt, but they are giving tickets to those whom we have not given tickets. People should not waste their votes on this vote-cutter party," he said. PTI ADI MNS 11281527 NNNN
