BJP vs Trinamool attrition war reaches Tripura fields
Countering the charges, the BJP said Trinamool was “trying to spread the ‘virus of political violence’ in Tripura”.

Speaking to reporters outside the Agartala airport, Banerjee said: “BJP wants to remain in power by threatening people. This is my second visit to Tripura in less than seven days. Instead of the attackers, the TMC workers who were attacked were booked. The entire country is watching how democracy is being choked in Tripura. TMC will fight. TMC will not spare a single inch to BJP in Tripura,” he said.
Trinamool MP Saugata Roy said: “I condemn the action of the BJP. Their desperate deed cannot be forgiven. They cannot stop TMC by attacking our workers. We will win the forthcoming elections in Tripura. We will see if the issue can be raised in Parliament,” Roy told ANI in New Delhi.
BJP spokesman Nabendu Bhattacherjee said Trinamool is a non-entity here. “TMC is trying to spread the ‘virus of political violence’ in Tripura.” He sought a high-level probe into the incidents.
