Chattopadhyay said failure in all other sectors prompts a party to resort to religious card and polarization politics.
"When there is failure everywhere, a party does not have anything else, they play the religion card. BJP is now playing the religion card and resorting to religious polarization. We have grown up here and never seen such hue and cry over Ram Navami," Chattopadhyay said.
Much discussions revolved around Hindutva and Ram Navami celebrations with BJP leadership, specially Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhiakri on Tuesday spoke about "Hindu reign in Hindustan" and playing the Hindutva card for coming to power in 2026.
Adhikari on Tuesday said the rule of "Hindus will reign in Hindustan" and the appeasing Mamata Banerjee government will be ousted from power in Bengal in 2026.
The LoP also stressed that there is an attempt to appease minority vote bank and consolidation by Trinamool Congress ahead of 2026 assembly polls and attempts to prevent Ramnavami by police in various parts of the state are done by Trinamool Congress.
"Hindus will reign in Hindustan. Hindus will reign in West Bengal. The people who work in the welfare of Hindus will come to power," Adhikari has said and given call to all Hindus to oust the Trinamool Government which resort to Muslim votebank.
Speaking to the reporters outside the assembly, the 'Leader of Opposition' said lakhs of devout Hindus will participate in rallies on the day of Ram Navami and any effort to stop the celebrations will meet with resistance.
Adhikari, who had recently said around one crore 'Sanatani Hindus' will chant 'Jai Shri Ram' in 20,000 processions taken out across Bengal on April 6, said the Mamata Banerjee regime won't be able to stop Ram Navami celebrations.
Talking about attacks took place on Ram Navami rallies at Egra in Purba Medinipur and Durga idols vandalized at Shyampur in Purba Medinipur district, Suvendu Adhikari had said "a massive rally will come out at Egra on April 8 and another one at Shyampur on April 7.
