BJP using ED and CBI for political interests: Trinamool Congress' Abhishek Banerjee

Trinamool Congress' national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday said that after coming to power in four states, BJP was using central agencies, especially the ED and CBI, for its political interests.
Banerjee alleged that the central agencies would never take any action against "someone (BJP's Suvendu Adhikari) who was seen taking wads of currency notes wrapped in a towel".

Banerjee and wife Rujira are set to appear before the ED on Monday for questioning in connection with a probe into a money laundering case linked to a coal scam in West Bengal, a source said.


"I have been summoned by ED tomorrow. And I have faith in the judicial system. We (Trinamool) will not surrender," the Diamond Harbour MP vowed.
