BJP urges Jung to direct AAP govt to table 4th Delhi Finance Commission report in assembly
BJP members say the recommendations of the Fourth Delhi Finance Commission will help the three corporations improve their financial health.

BJP MLAs say the government is bound by the Constitution to table the report and implement it. "The commission is a constitutional authority and its report has to be implemented. We have asked the LG to intervene and direct the government to table the report," Gupta said.
BJP members say the recommendations of the Fourth Delhi Finance Commission will help the three corporations improve their financial health. "The commission has specifically studied the financial condition of the three corporations. Its recommendations are aimed at improving their financial condition," Gupta said.
The Fourth Delhi Finance Commission was set up on October 14, 2009, to examine the financial position of municipal bodies and other departments. "The final report was submitted on April 5, 2013. The recommendations should have been implemented in the last financial year. But due to the government's inaction under the Congress regime and now under AAP rule, the report is gathering dust," Gupta said.
At a time when the North and East corporations are facing a serious financial crunch, Gupta says it is important for the government to provide adequate aid so that they can continue functioning.
