BJP trying to eliminate Rahul Gandhi, says Siddaramaiah
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the BJP of plotting to eliminate Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. He claims the BJP is trying to intimidate Gandhi through threats and defamation, aiming to prevent him from campaigning in upcoming elections....

“There is a conspiracy by the BJP to intimidate and provoke their workers through these threats. The BJP, which has consistently tried to target the AICC leader through defamation, slander, false accusations, and character assassination, now stopped to the act of issuing direct murder threats,” the CM told a media-conference, while adding that the saffron party cannot intimidate Gandhi with such threats as he comes from a family that made great sacrifices for the nation.
“This not only reveals the BJP's moral and ideological bankruptcy in its inability to confront Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party politically and ideologically, but also exposes their murderous mindset in them.”
Gandhi’s popularity, Siddaramaiah said, both in India and overseas, has left BJP leaders speechless. “...the real motive behind these threats is to prevent him from delivering campaign speeches in the upcoming assembly elections, including in Jammu & Kashmir and Maharashtra,” he said.
“I am not surprised by the statements of BJP and their allies. Beheading, hitting, cutting—these are all the languages of the Manu Smriti followers,” the CM said. “This is not the language of the Constitution or democrats.”
MODI TERM:
The CM expressed doubt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would complete his full term due to the current political developments in the country. He predicted that leaders like Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu would not stay with the NDA government for long.
