NEW DELHI: BJP on Tuesday hit back at Trinamool that was on the forefront of the last week’s agitation in Parliament over the Niranjan Jyoti’s objectionable remarks.

BJP targeted Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee for his alleged objectionable remarks against PM Modi recently in Kolkata. BJP MPs demanded an apology from Banerjee failing which they threatened to bring a censure motion against him.

BJP’s bid to target Trinamool comes in the wake of its last-ditch effort to block the insurance bill in the Rajya Sabha, when the bill will be brought for passing next week. The issue of Banerjee’s alleged remarks was raised by BJP MP SS Ahluwallia, who said the comments against Modi was objectionable and derogatory.
