These call centres will help the party organise ground-level work and establish a connect with voters by the local team till the date of elections besides providing them with the right campaign content, party insiders said.
The BJP has started the process of setting up 300 call centres across the country for campaign management for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The ruling party, in a meeting held by Union home minister Amit Shah on September 1, also worked out a plan to divide the country into 10 zones and appointed an in-charge for each zone to coordinate and manage the campaign, party insiders said.

Preference should be given to party offices with internet and other facilities to set up a call centre with minimum 27 seats, it said.


These call centres will help the party organise ground-level work and establish a connect with voters by the local team till the date of elections besides providing them with the right campaign content, party insiders said.

On the election day, the call centres are used to make calls to voters and check whether they have cast their votes or not.

In the 2019 elections, the party had set up 190 such call centres.

The party has made Bihar BJP leader Devesh Kumar the in-charge of MP-Chhattisgarh zone while Gujarat MLA Amit Thakar has been made in-charge of Telangana-AP zone. Delhi BJP vice-president Rajeev Babbar is the in-charge of UP-Uttarakhand. Similar charges have been given to seven other leaders.

These leaders will remain in connection with five leaders at the central office.

The leaders have been instructed to organise workshops for district level teams by September 20.

The BJP has roped in communication consultancy firm Jarvis for setting up and managing the call centres.

Jarvis has been working for the party for the past few years. A small team of the firm operates from BJP headquarters in New Delhi, and this will ensure the coordination between all the centres.

The call centres will act as a bridge between the state communications team, Saral portal team that works on constituencies-wise voter details, state data management and IT team, and the central communication and data team to offer and spread real time information and communication to the voters.
