SALEM (TN): With charges of forgery coming to the fore over the letter by 65 MPs to US President Barak Obama against granting visa to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, BJP today said it would raise the issue in Parliament during the coming monsoon session.

BJP would move a privilege motion seeking action for alleged forgery of signatures of some MPs, party spokesperson Prakash Javedekar told reporters here.

The party had yesterday said the letter by 65 MPs appeared to be the handiwork of the "dirty tricks department" of Congress and demanded a probe into the matter.

Javedekar, who was here leading a three-member party team set up to look into the recent murder of Tamil Nadu BJP General Secretary V Ramesh, said the party would also raise in the parliament the issue of attacks on its leaders in the state.

Earlier, Javedekar and other members of the team -- H N Ananth Kumar and Nirmala Seetharaman -- visited the families of Ramesh and woman party functionary Rajeswari who committed self-immolation upset over the killing of Ramesh, and consoled them.

The team members also interacted with local functionaries of BJP, RSS and Hindu Munnai and later held discussions with Crime-Branch CID SP Anbu, part of the Special Investigation Division set up to probe the murder of Ramesh on July 19 by a four-member gang near his house here.
