BJP to observe 'Save Democracy Day' in Jammu tomorrow

The Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP said today it will observe 'Save Democracy Day' tomorrow to recall the days of emergency, the darkest period in the history of the country.

BJP national general secretary Anil Jain will address a programme in this connection at the party office in Jammu, the party's state secretary Sanjay Baru told reporters here.

Baru said former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta would preside over the meeting to recall and denounce the dark days of emergency imposed by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
