BJP which is supporting the Pul led front has stated that it will not be part of the government and will lend outside support to the Pul led government.

GUWAHATI: With Supreme Court paving the way for government formation in Arunachal Pradesh, dissident congress leader Kalikho Pul likely to take oath as chief minister on Friday.

BJP which is supporting the Pul led front has stated that it will not be part of the government and will lend outside support to the Pul led government.

Pul on Monday last met Governor J.P Rajkhowa and staked the claim to form government in the state once president’s rule is revoked.

Pul was accompanied by 31 other MLAs which included MLAs from BJP and independent.

National executive member of BJP, Tapir Gao told ET, “We are waiting for the President’s letter whereby President Rule in Arunachal Pradesh will be revoked. However BJP will lend outside support to the government and will not be the part of the government.”

Pul on Monday took 31 members to Rajbhavan. Pul claims to have support of 19 congress mla, 11 BJP and 2 independent. Following the expulsion of two MLA the strength of state assembly is reduced to 58.
