BJP to hold series of protest events over 'collapse' of law and order

Majumdar said multiple protest programmes, including a sit-in protest near RG Kar Medical College & Hospital, will be organised, in which he will also participate. Candle marches by women will be held near the chief minister's residence and protests will be held in various parts of the state.
"What happened yesterday -- all these issues prove that CM failed to ensure law and order," Majumdar said.
Various political parties will protest against the midnight rampage, ransacking and vandalising of the RG Kar Medical Hospital by unidentified miscreants. The SUCI has called for a 12-hour strike against Wednesday's incident.The state BJP leadership urged all political parties to come together and bring Bengal to a standstill by holding road blockades across the state on Friday.
BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari said, "I urge all political parties to come together and fight".
CPI-M leader Sujan Chakraborty claimed the incident had "the hand of the chief minister".
Another CPI-M leader Bikash Ranjan said, "Trinamool has organised the crime and the attack by miscreants yesterday."
