BJP to go alone in next year's Arunachal Pradesh assembly poll: Pema Khandu
Chief minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday said that BJP will not have any pre-poll alliance and is confident of winning all the 60 assembly seats in the state.

Allaying apprehensions of state BJP having alliance with the National People’s Party (NPP), the chief minister said NPP is an alliance member of North East Democratic Alliance (Neda) but has no alliance with state BJP as it does not have a single MLA in the state.
NPP is leading the government in Meghalaya and is a part of the BJP-led government in Manipur. NPP has announced it will make poll debut in Mizoram assembly elections slated later this year. The party has decided to contest Lok Sabha polls in 2019 in all the eight states of Northeast India.
NPP chief and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma recently stated that the party wanted to give confidence to the people of Northeast to march forward on the shared objective and common goal of development. "NPP is very upbeat and will be contesting the upcoming Assembly Election in the State of Mizoram and also General Election to the Lok Sabha in 2019 in all the eight States of Northeast."
Sangma said NPP was a recognised party in the State of Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland. In 2018 State Assembly Election in Nagaland, the NPP had a vote share of 7% and two of its candidates were elected as MLAs.
