SHRAVASTI: Alleging that Rs 6000 crore blackmoney was deposited in foreign banks, BJP today said it would be brought back when the party forms the government and used for poverty alleviation.

"Rs 6000 crore is deposited in foreign banks as blackmoney. If the BJP forms the government at the Centre all this money will be brought back and used for poverty alleviation," former party chief Rajnath Singh said at a rally in Ahiraghasi here.

He said not only the blackmoney would be brought back, no new tax would be introduced in the next 30 years and loans of farmers and traders would be waived.

Accusing the Congress of looting the country, Singh said by offering it support BSP and SP were equally responsible.

He announced that if the BJP forms the government in UP after Assembly elections next year, loans would be given to the farmers at an interest rate of one per cent.

Singh alleged that opposition parties had been making efforts to keep Muslims away from the BJP by creating fear in their minds.
