On August 23, Nadda will virtually inaugurate ‘Booth Vijay Abhiyan’ to strengthen the booth team before the elections. New workers would be included in booth committees, Shakti Kendras and at the mandal level.
The three co-incharges of UP –– Satya Kumar, Sanjiv Chaurasia and Sunil Oza –– are organising assembly-wise meetings to collect feedback and check the preparation at the grassroots. These meetings would be crucial in deciding tickets for the existing MLAs.

The party has also started the process of appointing election in-charges for each assembly segment. Sources told ET that all Rajya Sabha MPs, MLCs and other leaders would be given charge of one assembly constituency each. The state leaders, who would be made in-charges, would not contest the elections. This is one of the reasons the process is taking some time as the party is convincing some of the ticket aspirants to become in-charges.
Post this exercise, from September-end, the party will organise the visits of central leaders. The visit of PM Modi will start from October. “We are planning region-wise public meetings of the PM,” a senior leader involved with the planning told ET.
