New Delhi: After the NDA's emphatic win in Bihar, the BJP has now shifted its focus on other election-bound states, including West Bengal, Assam and Tamil Nadu, and plans to use the strategy and expertise utilised during the Bihar elections for the upcoming state assembly polls.

In this regard, BJP president JP Nadda has called a dinner meeting of all BJP leaders who were involved in the Bihar campaign on November 26 at his residence in Delhi. Nadda will also facilitate some of those leaders who played an important role in the Bihar victory. The top leadership believes the model that led to its success in Bihar can prove effective for Bengal and Assam as well. Along with Nadda, Union home minister Amit Shah, Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was Bihar election in-charge, and state in-charge Vinod Tawde will also participate in the dinner meeting. More than fifty MPs and leaders from various states, who were deployed for the Bihar campaign, will also be present. There is no confirmation yet whether PM Narendra Modi will be present or not.

The main agenda of the meeting is to review the Bihar campaign, identify successful strategies, and prepare a roadmap to implement them in the electoral campaigns in West Bengal and Assam. The party aims to ensure that the effective elements of the Bihar model - booth management, social outreach, and ground-level campaigning - are deployed with even greater strength in Bengal and Assam.

The party has already appointed election in-charge for West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, and the teams have started working on the ground. Union minister Bhupendra Yadav has been made the election in-charge for Bengal while former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb has been made the co-incharge. For Tamil Nadu, Baijayant Panda has been appointed the in-charge while Union minister Murlidhar Mohol has been made the co-incharge.

BJP has divided Bengal into five zones and deployed party state general secretaries (organisation) in each of these zones. Along with the state general secretary, a senior party leader has also been appointed. In the Kolkata Metropolitan and South 24 Parganas, the party has deputed Himachal Pradesh's organisation general secretary M Siddharthan. He will be assisted by senior leader CT Ravi in Kolkata.

In the Howrah, Hooghly and Medinipur region, Delhi's organisation general secretary Pawan Rana has been given the charge while senior party leader from Haryana, Sanjay Bhatia, will be working with him. UP state minister JPS Rathore will also be working in the Medinipur division. Uttarakhand minister Dhan Singh Rawat, former UP minister Suresh Rana, former Union minister Kailash Choudhary have been deputed in other zones of Bengal.
