Sant Vijaya Das died on Saturday in a hospital in Delhi. The BJP has been regularly attacking Congress government in Rajasthan for appeasement politics and death of a saint on protest has given further ammunition to the party to launch attack. The party central leadership immediately came into action and Nadda formed a committee of four leaders under the leadership of BJP general secretary and Rajasthan in-charge Arun Singh. The other members of the team are Sikar MP Sumedhanand Saraswati, Satyapal Singh and Brijlal.

The leaders have been asked to visit Bharatpur and submit a report to the party leadership.

“Sant Vijay Das was protesting for more than 500 days against the atrocities of the mining mafia in the state. The Congress government in the state not only gives protection to the mining mafia and now is responsible for the death of the Sant,” Rajasthan BJP president Satish Poonia, told ET.
