Patna: BJP workers today staged a protest march from the party office upto Raj Bhawan here to protest against the Centre's economic policies and its discrimination against non-Congress governments.

Led by BJP national general secretary Ravishankar Prasad and the state unit president C P Thakur, hundreds of saffron party workers took out a protest march and shouted slogans against the Centre on inflation, price rise, corruption and "discrimination against non-Congress governments".

The police, however, stopped the protesting BJP workers and prevented them from going towards the Raj Bhawan due to security reasons, police sources said.

A BJP delegation comprising Prasad and Thakur among other senior leaders went to Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum to an official there in the absence of Governor Devanand Konwar.
