BJP, SP worked in tandem to perpetrate Muzaffarnagar riots: Congress leaders
The party, an ally of the SP, has been steadily amplifying it criticism of the Yadav administration, pointing a finger at Amit Shah.

“There has been callousness and many acts of omissions by the state administration. They cannot escape from their responsibility,” Congress spokesman Meem Afzal said at the party’s media briefing in Delhi on Wednesday.
The party, an ally of the SP that has been supporting its UPA government from outside in the Lok Sabha, has been steadily amplifying it criticism of the Yadav administration. On Tuesday, Congress general secretary in charge of UP, Madhusudan Mistry, and central minister and UP MP, Jitin Prasada, had lashed out at Akhilesh government and even said that the BJP and SP had worked in tandem to perpetrate Muzaffarnagar riots.
The Congress spokesman also sought to pin the blame on the riots on the BJP’s Amit Shah. “I am not going into details but you know who has been made in charge of UP, who has been involved in such incidents and who is out on bail. He is an expert in such jobs (riots),” he said, without naming Shah.
