BJP sharpens campaign in Delhi's slums
'BJP ne kiya ayelan, jahan jhuggi wahan makan (BJP announces that buildings will come up in slums)' is going to be party's slogan.

'BJP ne kiya ayelan, jahan jhuggi wahan makan (BJP announces that buildings will come up in slums)' is going to be party's slogan. It is also planning to address the concerns of people living in the slums. The first thing on BJP's agenda is to get the ration facility streamlined. At present, lakhs of poor people are facing difficulty in availing the benefits of free ration due to stringent norms set by the previous government, sources said.
"Under the present norms, if the electricity consumption exceeds 2KW monthly, then the person is denied free ration. There are a lot of discrepancies in the present system. We will take up the matter with the department concerned. This issue will be resolved before elections in Delhi,'' said Vijay Goel, MP from Rajasthan, who is looking after the slum issues in Delhi.
