BJP sets up management centre to coordinate poll campaigns
NEW DELHI: BJP on Monday set up an Election Management Centre which will work round-the-clock coordinating rallies, public meetings and other means of campaigning for the Assembly elections in its four states and next year's Lok Sabha polls.

The center, seen as the BJP's 'war-room' for the forthcoming polls will be held by party vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

The office was inaugurated today by BJP's former president Venkaiah Naidu who called upon party workers to strive for and ensure party's victory in the elections.

BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will seek feedback from this centre about rallies and public meetings being conducted by the party in various parts of the country.

The centre will use information technology and social media, apart from traditional modes of campaigning like road shows and rallies as part of its planning and strategy for election campaigning.

It will be linked to all party workers round-the-clock. Among others who attended the inauguration were party general secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Murlidhar Reddy, Dharmendra Pradhan and party spokespersons Nirmala Sitharaman and Prakash Javadekar.
