BJP seeks CBI probe into Sachin Vaze's allegations against Ajit Pawar

BJP’s Maharashtra state executive on Thursday passed a resolution demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into sacked cop Sachin Vaze’s allegations against deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and transport minister Anil Parab.

Vaze – a controversial police officer who was sacked following his arrest by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) in a case related to planting of explosives near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani – had alleged in a letter submitted to the NIA court in April that he had been given extortion targets by Shiv Sena’s Parab and people close to NCP’s Ajit Pawar.
