BJP readies grassroots push to blunt Opposition attack on 'G Ram G' law
The BJP is preparing to counter the Congress's planned protests against the VB-G RAM G law. A national team has been formed to manage BJP programs. The party anticipates opposition parties will label the law as anti-poor and anti-farmer. BJP aims ...

BJP national general secretary Arun Singh has been appointed as the coordinator for the programmes. He will be supported by BJP Kisan Morcha national president Rajkumar Chahar, national vice-president Rekha Verma, national secretary OP Dhankhar, and BJP Kisan Morcha national general secretary Shambhu Kumar. A separate national-level monitoring team has also been constituted to oversee all the activities in this regard. The plan was discussed in detail in the recently-held meeting by BJP president JP Nadda and national working president Nitin Nabin with party state presidents.
The party is of the view that the Congress and other Opposition parties will try to build a narrative by terming the law as "ending MGNREGA" and it being "anti-poor, anti-farmer." So the BJP wants to hit the ground pre-empting the Opposition's move.
