KOTA: The state BJP is raising "baseless issues" against the government which are nothing but "poll stunts," Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said today.

"(State BJP chief) Vasundhara Raje is raising baseless issues of hunger and death in the state. These are nothing but poll stunts," Gehlot said on the last day of his three-day 'Sandesh Yatra'.

The chief minister accused Raje of "indulging in gross corruption during her tenure."

He criticised the state BJP president for bringing Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Kota during her yatra and calling him a "role model of development."

"Over 4,000 farmers have committed suicide during BJP-Chouhan government in MP. How could he be a role model of development?" Gehlot said.

On the charges against his son and family of acquiring assets and property illegally, Gehlot said he would transfer all the assets and property to her name "if she proved these allegations genuine."

Dismissing her charge that his government had announced welfare schemes with an eye on upcoming assembly elections, Gehlot said all the schemes "were promised in party's election manifesto of 2008 and we are just fulfilling the promises."
