BJP puts all energy to make PM Narendra Modi's Mathura rally a hit
LUCKNOW: The BJP brass and cadre are working overnight to ensure a grand rally in Mathura on Monday to mark the first year of the NDA government at the Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the rally in Nagla Chandrabhan village the birth place of Jan Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyay.

The attempt of BJP leaders is to bring a crowd of 2 lakh into this small village. The heat across north India has, however, caused concern and top leaders are taking no chances. Central ministers have visited the village over the past few days to ensure all preparations are in place for the grand rally which holds special significance for the BJP.

As many as 6,000 workers have been deputed for the rally who have been visiting homes, colleges and public places to inform people about Modi’s visit and ensure their presence. BJP leaders have visited 11 adjoining districts of Mathura to create an atmosphere for the rally and draw big crowds from these places.

The village was chosen as the rally venue with the aim of addressing farmers’ concern, amid an acrimonious debate over the land acquisition bill. Mathura is in the heart of the western UP’s agrarian belt and the BJP hopes to reach out to farmers through this rally.
