BJP president Nadda slams LDF, UDF, says both are two sides of the same coin
"This is ideological bankruptcy. This shows they are power seekers and have nothing for the people. The involvement of M Sivasankar, former private secretary to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in the gold smuggling case, shows that corruption has ...

“The recently concluded local body polls in Kerala have shown that BJP has emerged as the third principal pole in state politics,” Nadda told media persons in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. “The BJP should come to power in Kerala to get rid of rampant corruption in the state.”
Nadda blamed the LDF government for mismanaging the Covid-19 crisis in the state. “The Kerala government has miserably failed to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, even as the central government under PM Narendra Modi's leadership has effectively contained the spread of novel coronavirus,” he said. “Half of the active Covid-19 cases are in Kerala.”
He also said that the vaccine roll-out in Kerala has been entirely inefficient.
Nadda attacked the Congress-led UDF alliance as well, blaming both the UDF and LDF as the two sides of the same coin.
“Congress party is fighting against the Left parties in Kerala while in West Bengal, they are contesting assembly elections together. The people of Kerala will definitely punish this unholy alliance,” said Nadda, who began a two-day visit to Kerala on Wednesday.
Nadda raised questions on former chief minister Oommen Chandy as the face of UDF, saying it was a cheap ploy to attract minority voters. “Chandy is the prime accused in a sex scandal, and it is clear that the Congress party hasn't learned any lesson from its defeat in the 2016 election,” he said.
On Thursday, Nadda will visit Thrissur, hold a meeting with office-bearers and party workers, and address a rally in the evening.
