BJP president Amit Shah to visit Odisha on January 6, 7

BHUBANESWAR: BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to undertake a two-day tour to Odisha from January 6, BJP state president K V Singhdeo said here today.

During his visit, Shah will address a public meeting besides reviewing the party's ongoing membership drive. The party has targeted to enroll at least 40 lakh members in Odisha.

Meanwhile, former Anandpur MLA Bhagirathi Sethi joined the BJP, said senior leader Bijay Mohapatra.

Bhagirathi, a former MLA, who was denied party ticket by the ruling BJD supremo in 2014 elections, said he joined BJP to strengthen hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
