New Delhi: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Bihar's Bhagalpur district on Monday to participate in a farmer's programme, BJP is preparing to use the event to kickstart NDA campaign for the year-end assembly elections.

Modi will release the 19th instalment of PM KISAN. Over 9.7 crore farmers across the country are expected to receive direct financial benefits amounting to over ₹21,500 crore.

On Sunday, Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is in Bihar to welcome the PM, met a group of makhana farmers to understand their problems. "This event is not just for Bihar but for farmers across the country," he told media persons in Bihar.
