NEW DELHI: A day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said it "cannot be business as usual with Pakistan", BJP asked him to 'translate his words into action'.

Keeping up pressure on the UPA government to act tough with Islamabad in the light of the brutal killing of two Indian soldiers, BJP said the continued provocation by Pakistan made a strong case for New Delhi to expose it at international fora.

BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, however, said the country did not need to approach the UN. Party chief Nitin Gadkari had said after he along with Swaraj and Rajnath Singh visited the family of Lance Naik Hemraj the issue should be taken up at the UN and international fora.

"After the brutal killing of two soldiers, the prime minister took nearly a week to respond. The nation wants tough action and not just verbal assurances," Javadekar told reporters here.
